The reader can operate with a choice of autotrigger or manual triggering. The conveniently placed trigger button is easily used in either hand.

The reader automatically reads and decodes UPC/EAN, Codabar, Code 39, Code 128, MSI/Plessey, 2 of 5, and I 2 of 5.

• Tamper resistant

The TCS1440 has an internally connected cable that is resistant to the curious user, but is easily changed with common tools.

• Compact size

The compact design is light weight and easy to hold without causing operator fatigue. Combined with the human engineered shape, this allows continuous use with low risk of repetitive motion injuries.

• Rugged construction

The engineering grade molded housing is designed to take years of knocks and bumps. The recessed window is protected from fingerprints and dirt.

• VIDEO/CCD imager

The scanning system is functionally identical to a solid state, one line TV camera. There are no moving parts to wear out, break, or need adjustment.
